Lie Sang Bong – Spring 2013

I am just now getting caught up with Paris Fashion Week Spring 2013.  I’ve seen so many amazing designers that I’ve never heard of (my favorite kind) that are just astounding.  Lie Sang Bong’s designs really spoke to me. I am inspired by his use of the bold over-sized houndstooth pattern and the whimsical 60′s era butterflies.  The butterflies remind me of this incredibly tacky but adorable butterfly pattern that was sold at a retail store I worked at during high school; another nod to the days of peace and love.  Too sweet for me but it brought back some great memories.   I will put $20 on the table right now that you will see an American crossover interpretation of both of these patterns heavily this Spring.
