Early Bird…

Trying something a little different today.  They say that you should do your work when  you feel you are at your most productive.  For me its first thing in the morning, when my brain is fresh and well rested.  I know this from ages at my day job  and observing that I make the most mistakes late in the afternoon because I’m tired.

For the last two years, whenever I’ve blogged or worked on SHOP I’ve done it at night after my daughter is asleep after a full day at work, cooking, cleaning, baby rearing, etc.  The next morning when I’d read my post or review my work from the previous night I’d gasp at the ridiculous mistakes I’ve made.

And sometimes I’m so exhausted from the end of the day I can’t even open my computer and end up doing absolutely nothing.  In business that is unacceptable and lately its been happening a little more frequently than I’d like and that makes me miserable.

So today I’m trying something different.  I dragged my butt out of bed at 5am to get in an hour to an hour and a half of work done before my day starts.  I feel a bit fuzzy but I feel peaceful and all is quiet.  The sun is slowly coming up and I feel productive and I’m actually getting s**t done.  When I’m productive I feel fabulous.

They say to make something a habit you have to do it for 9 days in a row. Anything that will make my business better I’m up for the challenge.  Here we go!

What time of day are you most productive in life? Morning. Noon. Evening.
