Who said working in fashion was glamorous?

It is far from glamorous.  Most nights in my pajamas, hair barely making it into a bun, as I’m trying to find the energy to write one more post or to measure one more garment for the online store. I sit and wonder what happened to my glamour? My glamorous personal rituals. I no longer have time.  I actually have to put it in my calendar: Thursday – Paint nails, Friday – Shave legs and flat iron hair.  Or it simply won’t get done or I will plain forget to do it. NEVEREVER would I have thought I’d utter those words.  I’m not saying I’ve let myself go, I could never do that. I’m just saying that now having a family, a blog and a store has really pushed those beauty routines to the bottom of my to-do list.  And you know what? I’m okay with it.  I am proud to say I am still taking care of myself by eating well and exercising religiously (so no need to worry).  The nails can wait as long as I get in a Bodyrock routine.  And I am saving a ton of cool hair and make-up ideas on Pinterest for when I do have the time to play .  All the time spent working instead of primping is all worth it on days when I do get to dress-up for a fashionable event and revel in its success.  ~Cori/LadyBowTie

The Skinny on LadyBowTie

I have more than a few theories on style. LadyBowTie is a site designed to celebrate those thoughts on fashion, beauty, and fearlessness. LadyBowTie encourages positive self-esteem and freedom of expression through personal style. It also encourages a healthy relationship between fashion and your wallet. And last but not least, LadyBowTie is here to educate on aspects of the fashion and beauty industry through style news, street-style pics, interviews, trend/forecasting, articles, weekly series, and readers’ suggestions. ~Cori a.k.a.
